Bamatex invests in HP Indigo 7900 – entering the HP Indigo platform
Bamatex AB, one of Sweden’s leading textile converters with in-house production in Borås, has invested in an HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press. The investment marks Bamatex’s first step onto the HP Indigo platform and strengthens the company’s capabilities within advanced textile printing and heat transfer production.
With more than 60 years of experience in textile production, Bamatex has built its business on quality, flexibility, and short lead times. By investing in HP Indigo 7900, the company gains access to a digital printing technology that combines high precision, consistent color reproduction, and broad media compatibility – key requirements for modern heat transfer and textile applications.
HP Indigo technology has long been established as a benchmark for premium heat transfer printing, combining digital flexibility with offset-matching image quality and precise color control. This enables the production of durable, color-stable transfer graphics with exceptional detail, from short runs to more volume-driven production.
– “HP Indigo 7900 represents an important step in our continued development.
It allows us to expand our offering and meet increasing customer demands for quality, repeatability, and design flexibility,” says Joakim Engen, CEO of Bamatex AB.
HP Indigo 7900 is particularly well suited for heat transfer production thanks to its wide substrate compatibility and the proven One Shot Color technology, ensuring accurate color registration even on synthetic materials. The press also supports specialty inks such as Easy Release, Premium White, and fluorescent inks, enabling greater creative freedom and expanded design possibilities for textile applications.
– “We are pleased to welcome Bamatex as a new customer to Visutech and the HP Indigo platform. The HP Indigo 7900 provides the right foundation for developing high-value heat transfer applications with excellent quality and color stability,” says Patrik Agblad, Segment Manager Commercial at Visutech.
