Billes first in EMEA to acquire the new HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press and participate as a beta customer

New investment strengthens Billes’ digital print capabilities with HP Indigo’s latest A3 commercial print platform

The new HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press represents the next evolution of HP Indigo’s most successful A3 commercial digital platform. Built on Indigo’s proven technology foundation, the new press is designed to help commercial printers improve productivity, strengthen cost efficiency and expand the range of applications they can produce profitably.

Billes has acquired the new HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press as the first company in EMEA and participated as a beta customer, reinforcing its commitment to growing its digital print business with HP Indigo LEP Technology. The new press represents the next evolution of HP Indigo’s most successful A3 commercial digital platform and is designed to help commercial printers improve productivity, strengthen cost efficiency and expand the range of applications they can produce profitably.

The HP Indigo 7K+ combines proven print quality and application versatility with new opportunities for smarter, more efficient production. The press is designed to support commercial print businesses in meeting growing demands for shorter runs, faster turnaround times and tighter cost control, while maintaining the high-quality standards associated with HP Indigo technology.

A key innovation is the new ECO Print Mode, which delivers a cost-efficient four-colour option using thinner ink layers. This makes it ideal for text-heavy and less image-sensitive applications, enabling print service providers to optimize production costs while expanding the range of jobs that can be produced competitively on the platform.

The HP Indigo 7K+ also integrates AI-based tools designed to streamline operations, drive smarter automation and improve overall production efficiency. These capabilities help simplify production workflows, reduce operator intervention and support a more productive print environment.

With the HP Indigo 7K+, commercial printers gain access to a platform that combines operational simplicity with greater flexibility and stronger business economics. The new press is built to support print companies looking to strengthen performance, improve profitability and remain competitive in a demanding market.

Early feedback from beta customers has been highly positive, underlining the operational and commercial value the new platform is already bringing to production environments.

“The HP Indigo 7K+ gives commercial printers a strong combination of proven print quality, support for media up to 550 microns in duplex, and 20 special inks in addition to CMYK, together with improved cost efficiency and smarter automation. With innovations such as ECO Print Mode and AI-based productivity tools, the press enables customers to handle a broader range of jobs more efficiently and profitably,” says Johan Gustafsson, Sales Director, Visutech.
