Perma Press AB, a leading specialist in heat transfer and heat press solutions, continues to enhance its production capabilities by replacing its HP Indigo 5900 with an HP Indigo 7900. This investment marks another step in the company’s long-term commitment to quality, precision, and flexibility – all key factors in modern heat transfer production.
For many years, HP Indigo technology has set the industry standard for premium heat transfer printing, thanks to its unique ability to combine digital versatility with offset-matching quality and precise color control. The technology enables the production of durable, color-stable transfer graphics with outstanding detail – from short runs to high-volume industrial output.
– “For us, it’s all about staying ahead and delivering prints that withstand both time, washing, and wear,” says Alice Norheim, CEO of Perma Press AB. “The HP Indigo 7900 provides the stability and repeatability we need, while allowing us to work with more specialty colors and a wider range of materials than before.”
The HP Indigo 7900 is particularly well suited for heat transfer applications thanks to its wide media compatibility and the proven One Shot Color technology, which ensures perfect color registration even on synthetic substrates. The press uses HP Indigo ElectroInk, an elastic ink that performs exceptionally well for heat transfer, where the printed image must endure significant stress once applied to textiles. Even after repeated washing at high temperatures, the print remains intact without cracking.
In addition, the press supports the use of specialty inks such as Premium White and fluorescent colors, providing greater creative freedom and expanded design possibilities for textile applications.
– “Perma Press is a great example of how HP Indigo technology can be leveraged to produce high-value transfer applications. The 7900 offers a robust platform that combines digital efficiency with the precision and color consistency that heat transfer production demands,” says Patrik Agblad, Segment Manager Commercial at Visutech.
The new press was installed in October 2025 and is now in full production to meet the growing demand for high-quality and sustainable heat transfer solutions.
